Marshfield Library Welcomes Local Author

Sara Witter Connor is the author of Wisconsin?s Flying Trees in World War II: A Victory for American Forest Products and Allied Aviation.Connor has local roots and her book shows the national significance of the lumber industry to military success. On Saturday, July 26th the Marshfield Public Library hosts Connor?s reading of her book at 2:00 p.m.
Long time board member and president of the Forest History Association of Wisconsin, Connor has also served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Forestry Hall of Fame and Camp 5 Museum Foundation. She curated the nationally traveled ?Wisconsin?s Flying Trees: Wisconsin Plywood Industry?s Contribution to WWII? exhibit, which was displayed to over 175,000 viewers. This exhibit now has its permanent home at Marshfield?s Municipal Airport terminal building at Roy Shwery Field on East 29th St.
If you miss the Saturday presentation, Connor will be at the EAA Chapter 992 Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, July 27 at the Marshfield Municipal Airport?s Fly-in.
