Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidates Announced, Final

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 -- 12:45 PM

-The candidates for the Clark County Fairest of the Fair met at Tuft?s Mansion on Wednesday of last week.

I spoke with Caroline Wolf, the current Fairest of the Fair, and she said that ending her time representing Clark County is bittersweet.

Miss Wolf said, "It's defiantly a bittersweet moment. I mean, it will be kinda nice to have Sundays free, but it will also be sad because its been a very busy time, but its been a lot of fun. No matter where we go, everybody is welcome to see us, everybody wants to talk with us. Even going down the parade routes, everybody just loves seeing us. Everyone is so welcoming. So, I'll defiantly miss that part of it."

Miss Wolf also offered some advice to the ladies running this year.

"First of all, to be themselves, that's the major thing," said Miss Wolf, "But, if they do get on the Fairest of the Fair court, try every event. Go to any place you can think of because you're only on this court for a year, so make the most out of it. If you can go to a different parade that we've never gone to or find some other event to start, that would be wonderful because we'd like to see this program expand and become even bigger and better. So, we always look for more improvement."

The candidates running this year include Kelsey Rueth of Neillsville, Miranda Fabian of Greenwood, Brooke Noah of Thorp, Katarina Nemitz of Neillsville and Shania Gorton of Loyal.

If you?d like to see who wins the crown you can come to the Fairest of the Fair coronation taking place on August 6th at 7:30pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds.
