Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidates Announced, Part 5
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 -- 1:56 PM
-The candidates for the Clark County Fairest of the Fair met at Tuft?s Mansion on Wednesday of last week.I spoke with Caroline Wolf, the current Fairest of the Fair, as she spoke about a new addition to this year?s Fairest of the Fair Competition and hopes that more people can come to the event and the Clark County Fair.
Miss Wolf said, "Something new that we started this year is the Future Fairest Program and it's actually an idea that I got together at the state Fairest of the Fair competition. So we started that and we actually have 10 little girls running for that and we have 5 gals running for Fairest of the Fair, so we have some really good numbers. And the future fairest is only for the week of the fair. So they get to help hand out ribbons and gives them, hopefully an "in" so maybe when they get older they'll run for Fairest of the Fair. So, we've been very busy and we hope more people can come out."
"We've also been very lucky because for all our parades we've had Gross Motors, they've donated trucks for all the parades, which has been very nice."
"My sponsor was North Hendren Co-Op Dairy and I would also like to thank all the other sponsors who sponsored the other ladies and everyone who donates items towards our Clark County Fairest of the Fair program and the state Fairest of the Fair program because it's a huge help to have all that."
As Miss Wolf mentioned, the Fairest of the Fair coronation is taking place on August 6th at 7:30pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The public is welcome to attend.
