Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 -- 11:23 AM
-The Neillsville School Board approved a bid for the new canopies being constructed over the north and south entrances to the school.Ratsch Engineering in Neillsville put the project out to bid back in May and received an estimated price from Gaier Construction of Black River Falls and JS Construction of Wausau.
Gaier Construction had a bid, for both canopies, of $96,292 while JS had a bid, for both canopies, of $98,850. The board, obviously, chose the lower Gaier Construction Bid.
They also approved the early graduation for two students that have met all the requirements to do so and they approved the district?s membership to the Wisconsin Association of School Boards. The cost came to a total of $3,289 and the price is based on the number of professional staff employed at each district. That?s why some districts pay more or less than others.
