Owen-Withee School Board Talks Budgets

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed budgets at their meeting last week.First, District Administrator Bob Houts shared the final, unaudited budget numbers from the 2013-14 school year.
The district received $5,880,121.64 in revenue while spending $6,097,905.96. This left a deficit of $217,784.32 for the year. The fund balance for the district started the year at $1,339,955.90 and ended the year at $1,122,171.99.
Then, Mr. Houts also presented the preliminary budget numbers for the 2014-15 school year to the board.
Estimated revenue will be $6,077,979.00 while expenditures are budgeted at $6,055,446.00. This leaves an estimated surplus of $22,533.00.
