Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidates Announced, Part 3

-The candidates for the Clark County Fairest of the Fair met at Tuft?s Mansion on Wednesday afternoon.I spoke with Caroline Wolf, the current Fairest of the Fair, as she spoke about the many events they participated in during her time as Fairest of the Fair.
Miss Wolf said, "I was able to attend the Abbotsford Christmas Parade, which was very cold! I was all bundled up and had my crown on top of my hat, so it was very cold. But it was fun because all the floats were all lit up like Christmas. People were yelling at you, but you couldn't tell who they were because you were too bundled up, but it was a lot of fun!"
"At the beginning of January, I was able to attend the state Fairest of the Fair competition that was held in Wisconsin Dells. So, it was me against 45 other gals from all different counties who were their Fairest of the Fairs. So, that was a really neat experience. There was only one gal that was chosen, but you learn so much. You go through personal interviews, they teach you all the etiquette that they need to know on how to stand, how to sit, how to eat. So, it was actually a very interesting thing to be a part of. I wish all the girls could get a chance to do it because it is really helpful."
"So, then during their school year, after that, there wasn't too much to do, which was good because I was busy with college."
The Fairest of the Fair coronation is taking place on August 6th, the night before the official first day of the fair on August 7th, at 7:30pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The public is welcome to attend.
