Saturday, July 19th, 2014 -- 7:20 AM
-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the first steps of the thousand mile journey that is Clark County?s Public Safety Communication Systems Project.Included with the resolution was a list of frequently asked questions provided by Clark County?s Emergency Management Director, John Ross.
The questions included why do we need a new system, what will happen if we don?t do anything, why is a new system so expensive, will it make things better, how do we know it will work and more.
A thorough answer was provided with each question, trying to elevate some of the concerns that many county residents and board members have about the system?s hefty price tag.
The resolution approved on Wednesday evening gives the Finance Committee the green light to find a way of financing part of or the entire project.
