Clark County Health Department's Next Vaccination Clinic This Thursday
Monday, March 22nd, 2021 -- 9:00 AM
The next Clark County Health Department Vaccination Clinic for COVID-19 is this Thursday, March 25th, from 10am-4pm.
At this time, the vaccine is only available to those in Phase 1A, Phase 1B, and Phase 1C. Phase 1A includes healthcare workers, long-term care residents, EMS personnel, and mortuary workers.
Phase 1B includes fire and police, those 65 and older, educators and childcare workers, individuals enrolled in medicaid long-term care programs, and some public-facing essential workers like 911 operators and those in utility and communications infrastructure.
The following groups are only qualified if they are unable to physical/social distance while at work including public transit workers and food supply chain workers.
Finally, you are also qualified if you are part of non-frontline health care essential personnel, congregate living facility staff and residents, and mink husbandry. Phase 1C includes individuals with certain medical conditions.
At this time, there will not be any appointments available to reserve for 1st dose appointments on Friday, March 26th at 2:00 PM. The next COVID-19 clinic will be on Thursday, April 1st, but will only be available for 2nd dose appointments.
If you are in need of a 2nd dose of your COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna), please call the COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Line. There is a limited weekly vaccine supply across Wisconsin. It will take time to vaccinate all that are eligible.
There is not enough vaccine for everyone in all of the eligible groups. Eligible groups within 1B are prioritized by DHS. Some vaccinators are still working through 1A populations, and may have different amounts of eligible availability.
Sign up for appointments here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/3-25-21-clarkcountydrivethroughclinic-5. If appointment slots are already full, please do not call the CCHD or their local partners. The CCHD is not able to keep waiting lists at this time.
Those who sign up for an appointment are not guaranteed a dose if they do not meet the eligibility criteria. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment time for safety and traffic concerns. Sign up for 1 quantity per person that would like to receive the vaccine.
For example, if there is a husband and wife coming to the clinic together, sign up for a QTY of 2. Please sign up for a time slot by 3:00pm on the day prior to the drive-through clinic. Those who do not sign up by 3:00pm are not guaranteed a vaccine.
Those who make an appointment, be prepared to sign-up for an appointment for your 2nd dose exactly 4 weeks later while you receive your 1st dose at the drive-through clinic. You will not be guaranteed your 2nd dose if you are unable to make an appointment exactly 4 weeks later.
Please consider not signing up for an appointment if you are unavailable exactly 4 weeks later. Please follow the instructions listed online which includes 4 simple steps including review, complete, and print (if able) the fillable COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Record.
(Please consult with your medical provider if needed prior to receiving the vaccine for any questions you may have). Second, review the Moderna Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) Fact Sheet for Recipients. Third, review the V-Safe Information Handout.
Finally, review FAQ About COVID-19 Vaccination: What Vaccine Recipients Need to Know After Receipt of a COVID-19 Vaccine. Please bring the following items with you to the vaccination clinic including Completed COVID-19 Vaccine Administration Record; and for 2nd Dose Individuals, Vaccination Record Card (Hard Copy).
Please wear clothing that will easily allow the RN’s to administer the vaccine (t-shirt or a long sleeve that can be easily rolled to the upper arm to gain access to the deltoid muscle). You will be required to wait in your vehicle for 15 minutes post-vaccination for monitoring purposes.
EMS will be on-site and assisting with the monitoring. Expect a potential wait time. They thank you in advance for your patience. If you are unable to make your appointment due to inclement weather or personal reasons, or arrive after the clinic hours, you will not be guaranteed your dose.
You will have to schedule another appointment at a future CCHD COVID-19 vaccine clinic or reach out to your local healthcare provider, pharmacy, etc. As a reminder, those who are planning on receiving their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination must receive it from the same manufacturer.
Those who receive the Moderna vaccine must wait 28 days from their first vaccination before receiving a second dose, and those who receive the Pfizer vaccine must wait at least 21 days.
The CCHD may have limited availability at future drive through clinics due to a combination of 2nd dose administration appointments, staffing capacity, and allotted supply of vaccine. Eligible individuals should watch for future press releases regarding new appointment availability.
Those who do not have access to the internet may call the CCHD vaccine appointment line at 715-743-5105, select option 9, then select option 9 again starting Friday afternoons at 2pm. High call volumes are expected. Calling and leaving a message does not guarantee you an appointment.
The CCHD encourages those who don’t have access to the internet to have a family member or friend monitor online resources. For those who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, the CCHD strongly encourages individuals to reach out to their primary healthcare provider or local pharmacy.
