Dr. Robert Haws Named Director of Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation

-Dr. Robert Haws, a Marshfield Clinic pediatric nephrologist, has been named the new director for the Clinical Research Center, Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.CRC?s mission is to support basic and translational biomedical research to improve human health by continually advancing disease knowledge and new therapies. It works to ensure quality and efficiency in conducting primarily Phase II and III clinical trials of drugs, devices and biotechnology.
Haws is an experienced researcher and initiated the Bardet-Biedl Syndrome Registry, which has received national attention from the National Institutes of Health as a model for rare disease registries. He will work with Brian Zaleski, who was recently appointed CRC administrator to lead clinical research operations and provide guidance in improving the process of study start-up and conduct.
Clinical Research aligns resources from grant development to study completion through publication for industry and investigator initiated, federal and non-federal funded foundation grants and contracts.
