1 Mile and 5K Results for ROCCIT Run/Walk

-As part of the Heritage Days Celebration, Memorial Medical Center Foundation presented the 2014 ROCCIT 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk to over 108 participants from cities across Wisconsin.New this year, the event featured the chip timing system to accurately record the times of each runner/walker. With this new timing system, runners and walkers were able to see down to the second their individual times. Race enthusiasts especially like this system as they compete to ?get a better time? than previous races.
Medals were given to the top three participants in each age category. In addition to the medals, trophies were given to the top man and woman for both the 5k and the mile.
First place for women regarding mile results went to Brooke Brekke with a time of 7:14 and to Joe Katcher for men with a time of 8:31.
In the 5k race, first place for women went to Kayla Laufenberg with a time of 23:59 and first place for men went to Preston Guttenberg with a time of 20:56.
