16-Year-Old Killed in Two Vehicle Accident in Clark County

Monday, July 14th, 2014 -- 12:46 PM

-A 16-year-old boy was killed in a two vehicle accident in Clark County.

On Sunday July 13th, around 5:15 am, the Clark County Sheriff?s Office received a report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Twenty Six Road and Meridian Avenue in the Township of Sherman.

An initial investigation shows that a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Elizabeth Breu was traveling southbound on Meridian Ave when she failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the intersection of Twenty Six Road.

As it entered the intersection it struck the passenger side of a truck heading west being driven by 16-year-old Marvin High.

After being struck by the car, Marvin?s truck entered the south ditch, started to spin and flipped onto its side striking a power pole. The truck then bounced off the pole and came to rest on its wheels. Elizabeth?s vehicle spun and entered the southwest ditch striking a second power pole located at the intersection.

Elizabeth was transported to St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield for non-life threatening injuries. Marvin was pronounced dead at the scene. Seatbelts were used by both operators and speed is not believed to be a factor.

The Spencer Area Fire Department and Ambulance Service responded to the scene and the investigation of the crash continues. This is the 2nd traffic fatality in Clark County for 2014.
