Loyal Fourth Graders Build Prototype Barns

Loyal fourth graders planned, designed, and created a cow barn with a sample stall.

Students had to build a prototype of a barn that they would have to have for the cows on their farm. Students worked in small groups to use the design engineering sheets to plan the barn that they wanted to make out of their materials.

As students collaborated to design their barn, they used what they have learned from the Discover Dairy curriculum to ensure that their barn provided what each cow needs to be healthy.
