Marshfield Woman Found Guilty of Delivering Heroin

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 -- 9:56 AM

-A Marshfield woman appeared in Wood County Court Wednesday morning for charges of manufacturing and delivering heroin.

27-year-old Brittany Gilman was charged for allegedly selling heroin to an undercover agent. Gilman?s roommate, 25-year-old Jordan Staab, was the master mind behind the incident and was sentenced to jail time for his part in the crimes on Monday.

However, Gilman allegedly accepted $300 for nine small packages of heroin and delivered them to an undercover agent.

Gilman had three counts of manufacturing and delivering less than 3 grams of heroin. She entered no contest pleas to two of the three. The other was dismissed but read in. The judge then found her guilty of the charges and the state is recommending 3 years of jail time and 5 years of extended supervision.

A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and Gilman will be sentenced at a later date.
