Parks and Rec and CDA Reports at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard an update from the Parks and Recreation Meeting and heard the CDA Report at their recent meeting.For Parks and Rec, the committee is proceeding with the much needed updating of the cooling system for the walk-in cooler. A new compressor and used evaporator will be purchased from Joe?s Refrigeration. Also, new garage type doors are being installed on the west side of the 3-sided band shell shelter. These doors will open up a whole new look towards the Mill Pond.
For the CDA report, CDA Director Tim Swiggum said the Dollar General is working on contract and a council member noted that the more parking space available on the west side, the better.
Also, the Bredlau property survey was completed and the Certified Survey Map was sent to the County, Roger Wallace signed the Woodland Hotel back over to Helen Nikolay, the original owner and they?re still waiting on a CN resolution to move forward with the Railroad property.
