House Fire Near Colby Wednesday Morning

-There was a house fire near Colby on Wednesday morning.According to the Colby Fire Department, around 10:15am a passerby knocked on the door of the home, located on Highway 13 south of Colby in the Town of Hull, and alerted the family that the roof was on fire.
Julia Cooper, the owner of the home along with her husband Ron, and her two grandchildren were home at the time and were able to escape. They are very grateful to the good samaritan that warned them.
The fire started in the attic of the home, but the exact cause isn?t known. The home is being called a complete loss because of the fire and water damage.
Firefighters from Colby, Abbotsford, Dorchester, Owen-Withee and Spencer all assisted with the fire. The Clark County and Marathon County Sheriff?s Departments responded to the scene as well.
