Chippewa County Sheriff's Department Responds to Domestic Incident Near Stanley on Wednesday

-The Chippewa County Sheriff?s Department responded to a domestic incident in the Town of Delmar near Stanley on Wednesday.Just after 7am on Wednesday morning, the Chippewa County Sheriff?s Department responded to a domestic incident involving a 54-year-old male, armed with a firearm, holding a 47-year-old woman hostage.
The woman was able to escape after the man reportedly fell asleep. He later exited the home and was arrested without incident.
The Chippewa County Sheriff?s Department was assisted by the Chippewa County Emergency Response Team and the Eau Claire Regional SWAT Team. The names of the individuals involved are not being released at this time.
