Fairchild Woman Appears in Clark County Court for the Death of a Fairchild Man

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 -- 4:18 PM

-A Fairchild woman appeared in Clark County Court on Wednesday for the death of a Fairchild man.

In January of 2013, 20-year-old William Wilkinson-Hurst was found dead in his home and an exam determined that he died of an overdose from the drug fentanyl, a prescribed painkiller more powerful than morphine.

26-year-old Jessica Scoville, Fairchild, and 29-year-old Richard Madsen, Black River Falls, allegedly supplied the drug to Hurst. Both Scoville and Madsen have been charged with reckless homicide, party to a crime.

Probable cause was found during the preliminary hearing. Scott Haines, of the Clark County Sheriff?s Department, said that several witnesses saw Scoville provide the fentanyl to Hurst and that they used the drug at Scoville?s home.

Scoville will appear in court next week for arraignment.
