-A former Abbotsford teacher accused of sexually assaulting two of his students requested a new judge for his case.Back in January, the Abbotsford Police Department began an investigation into allegations that 25-year-old Andy Follen had an inappropriate relationship with some of his female students.
After authorities interviewed the two female students, who admitted to engaging in sexual activities with Follen, authorities charged him with five counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff. He was then charged with bail jumping and intimidating a victim after he was caught contacting one of the victims in this matter.
During an arraignment, Follen?s attorney, John Stichert, requested a judge substitution and entered not guilty pleas to all the charges filed against his client. The state had no objection, but it was mentioned that the victims and their families want the court proceedings to move along quickly.
The judge instructed Stichert to have a substitution filed by the end of the day on Tuesday, July 8th or the case will proceed with him.
