Sunday, June 29th, 2014 -- 8:19 AM
On Saturday afternoon the Wood County Sheriff?s Department along with the Rudolph Fire Department and United Ambulance were dispatched to the Rudolph Township where a 26 year old female had taked an unknown number of pills and had jumped into the Biron Flowage.Upon arrival she was about 100 yards from shore and did not respond to the requests to come back to shore. Deputy James Pidgeon jumped in and pulled her back to shore where Rudolph first responders and United Ambulance paramedics assisted and started first aid.
The female was unresponsive and taked to Riverview Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
If not for the quick response and heroic actions of Deputy Pidgeon, the female would probably have drowned.
