-One of the teens allegedly involved in a series of burglaries in Taylor County appeared in court on Thursday for a competency hearing.Johnathan Kuy, of Wausau, and Nicholas Draszkiewicz, of Medford, have been charged for breaking into the Farm and Home and Hickory Nutz Sausage in November. Kuy has also been charged with breaking into Happy Joe?s Pizza.
Back in April, Kuy?s attorney argued there was an issue regarding his client?s competency. However, an exam from a psychologist determined that Kuy was competent and the court proceedings could continue.
Kuy is in custody in the Marathon County Jail due to charges he?s also facing in Marathon County. His court proceedings in Marathon County were on hold depending on the competency hearing results in Taylor County, so those proceedings will continue as well.
