Stanley Man Sentenced for Accident

-A Stanley man was sentenced on Friday for an accident that occurred in April of 2013.According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff?s Department, Andrew Schmitt was the driver of a truck that hit a power pole on Highway N back in April. He was driving drunk and, as a result of the accident, his passenger Nicholas Neuenfeldt was killed.
Schmitt was sentenced to one year in prison and 10 years? probation. He was also ordered by the judge to not drive for the next 10 years.
Schmitt was sentenced for the charge of homicide by drunken driving.
