Neillsville School Board Handles Employment Matters

The Neillsville School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the resignation of Laura Buchholz from her teaching assistant position and Wendy Sigurdson from her support secretarial position.
The board also approved a contract for Shyla Gilbertson for an elementary regular education teacher position, Ryan Selvik for an elementary Title 1 reading teacher position and Ashley Noack for a middle school teacher position. They also approved administrative contracts for Elementary Principal Tim Rueth, High School Principal Craig Anderson and District Administrator John Gaier.
The hiring of Matt Peterson for the assistant baseball coach, Marcy Kunze and Kari Mayer for shared homecoming advisor positions and Tammy Matson as the SADD advisor were all approved as well.
Finally, the board approved revision to the Certified Staff Handbook and the initial adoption of changes to Policy Section I.
Mr. Gaier reported on the Medford Legislative Meeting, a thank you note from Arthur Anderson, his appointment to a SAGE study committee, the potential tax impact of a revenue cap exemption, three Focus articles, and a thank you note from the Neillsville FFA.
