4th Annual Mike's Run in Marshfield on Saturday

-It?s time to lace up your running shoes and hit the streets of Marshfield for the fourth annual Mike?s Run to raise money for mental health services.The June 21st event, sponsored by Marshfield Clinic, includes a five-mile run and a two-mile fun run/walk. The event honors the memory of Marshfield native Mike Hackman, who committed suicide in 2010 after suffering from mental illness for years.
Registration on race day is 7:30-8:45 a.m. at Steve J. Miller Recreation Area. The cost is $25 for the five-mile race, which begins at 9 a.m., and $20 for the two-mile run/walk at 9:15 a.m.
Last year?s event raised $40,572 and the three-year total is $104,000.
Funds from the events are used to educate the public and Clinic staff about the effects of mental health issues. The run itself is a chance to get outside, enjoy the camaraderie of family and friends, and raise money for an important cause.
