Portage County Man Arrested in Thorp for Child Enticement

-A Portage County man was arrested in Thorp Tuesday night for child enticement and use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.According to the Clark County Sheriff?s Department, 48-year-old Randy Scott came to the City of Thorp expecting to meet an underage girl, but he was met by officers instead.
Scott had exchanged messages with what he believed was an underage girl last week. In the conversation, he had indicated that he wanted to have sex with the girl, get her pregnant and then take her back to his home where they would live together.
Scott initially denied saying that in the conversation, but later admitted to it.
Scott is currently in the Clark County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond and has been charged with Child Enticement and Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime.
The Thorp Police Department assisted with the arrest and the Sheriff?s Department is continuing the investigation.
