Owen City Council Raises Fine for Overweight Trucks Crossing High Bridge

-The Owen City Council took steps to keep overweight trucks from crossing the High Bridge at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.The subject of truck traffic on High Bridge was approached during the meeting and it was put forth to both purchase and install a game camera for the purpose of collecting license plate numbers off of trucks. The motion also included raising the fine for exceeding the weight limit to $1000. The council unanimously approved the motion.
The council also approved time for one of their police officers, Ryan Boie, to attend Intoximeter training and their Police Chief, Andrew Shade, to attend Police Software training.
Finally, the council approved Brad Gokey to attend the annual Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association Conference in Green Bay and they approved the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report.
