Greenwood School Board Approves Health Care and Dental Plan for District's Employees

-The Greenwood School Board approved the Health Care and Dental Plan for the district?s employees at their meeting on Thursday of last week.The board first heard a presentation from their Associated Broker and they heard a few faculty members? comments and questions before deciding on the plans.
The board approved the United Health Care Plan. This is the plan, previously discussed by the board, that has the in-network deductible amounts listed as $3500, single, and $7000, family. The school board made the motion to approve a two year HRA to active district employees in the amount of $2500 for a single plan and $5000 for a family plan which cannot be reduced the second year.
This plan is for one year and it will be implemented on July 1st. A letter will be mailed to all of the district?s faculty members informing everyone of this change in insurance providers. The health insurance cards will be mailed to the district?s employees soon.
The board also approved to remain with their current dental plan. It stayed the same with no increases and they moved the regular monthly board meeting time from 7:30 PM to 6:30PM.
