Black River Falls Students Continue to Celebrate Youth Art Month

-To celebrate Youth Art Month, five students from Black River Falls Middle School were selected to represent their school and showcase their talents at the West Central Regional Art show held in February.

This year's participants were 7th grader Anton Cassidy, 7th grader Henry Meek, 6th grader Madilyn Schneider, 8th grader Noah Larkin, and 8th grader Josie Demaske. In March, three of the five participants were then selected to go on to State.

This year's State qualifiers were Josie Demaske, Henry Meek, and Noah Larkin. Prior to Covid, artwork selected for State would be displayed in the Rotunda of the State Capitol building through the month of March, instead this year's participants' artwork was shared digitally with all participating schools.

This year BRF Middle School is proud to announce that Josie Demaske received the WAEA Middle School State Award for her entry, Monochromatic Instrument.
