-We know that dairy in Clark County is big, but just how big is it?The average American consumes 604.5 pounds of milk and other dairy products each year. Clark County dairy farmers produce about 1.3 billion pounds of milk each year. That means that Clark County is responsible for producing enough milk to feed 2,183,622 people.
You can celebrate June Dairy Month and Clark County?s place in the dairy industry by enjoying some dairy products with breakfast on the farm.
This Sunday is the Loyal Dairy Breakfast at the Mitch and Michelle Malm farm on 153 Road north of Loyal from 7am to 12:30pm.
These breakfasts are sponsored in part by Clark County Dairy Promotion and for more information on any of the area dairy breakfasts you can call the Clark County UW-Extension Office.
