Local FFA Members Make Central Wisconsin Proud at State Convention

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The 'Stars Over Wisconsin' shined brightly on Wednesday night in Madison as four FFA members where recognized with the highest awards a student can win at the state-level during the 85th Wisconsin FFA Convention.One local FFA member, Steven Salzmann of Marshfield, won the Star Farmer award.
Convention delegates also elected 10 new state officers Wednesday, who will start their year of service on Thursday. Some local FFA members elected include Maggie Larson of Osseo-Fairchild and Leeah Luepke of Spencer.
Another 300 members walked across the stage to receive their State FFA Degrees. Many other students were recognized as scholarship winners.
The 85th Wisconsin FFA Convention wraps-up today with the naming of the state's top chapter.
