Relatively Simple Meeting for the Neillsville City Council
Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 -- 9:52 AM
-The Neillsville City Council had a relatively brief and simple meeting on Tuesday evening. The council approved to extend the closing hours of Schuster Park to 1am and extend the noise hours until 12:30am during Heritage Days on July 12th and 13th. The extended noise hours will allow the band to play until 12:30.
The council also approved to purchase a new lawn mower for the sewer plant as the old mower is getting worn out and Public Works Director Dave Flynn said it would make more financial sense to purchase a new one rather than continue to fix the old one. They will purchase the mower from Russell?s of Neillsville for $1,499.
Finally, the council approved to accept a $300 donation from the Rotary Club for maintaining the flowers and flower beds. They also approved the acceptance of a Recycling Grant from the DNR for $9,357.41 which was actually $10.68 less than last year.
