Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Public Health Emergency Declaration
Friday, November 13th, 2020 -- 12:55 PM
-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved extending the county’s Public Health Emergency Declaration.
The declaration was originally enacted on October 28th, but has now been extended to January 10th of 2021. This gives the county authority to implement any necessary actions to combat the virus. This is due to the large increase the county, and the state, has seen in coronavirus cases. For example, Clark County has seen 397 new cases from October 1st to October 28th. They’ve also seen 8 deaths during that time frame. The board also approved several appointments including Cindy Campbell to the Clark County Library Committee, Tom Bobrofosky to the Wisconsin Valley Library Service and Maryanne Olsen and Virgina Kodl to the Housing Authority Committee.
The board also approved the Community Services and Social Services Contract, approved the WIC Grant and approved the membership in the Wisconsin Counties Association. The board also approved the designation and committed fund accounts. The board approved amendments to the county’s employee handbook and administrative manual regarding emergency family and medical leave expansion. Finally, the board approved the 1st addition plat for the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery and approved the sale of county land and release of easement in the Town of York.
