Monday, June 9th, 2014 -- 12:51 PM

-A Taylor County man has been found guilty of shooting a Taylor County Sheriff?s Deputy.

Back in September in Westboro, which is north of Medford, Taylor County Sheriff?s Deputy Chad Kowalczyk, originally from Boyd, made contact with 28-year-old Alexander Schneider as a result of a violation regarding a court ordered injunction.

When Kowzlczyk responded to the violation he was shot at several times by Schneider and the deputy?s arm was grazed by a bullet and he was hit in the stomach.

Schneider, due to a plea agreement, entered a no contest plea and was found guilty of the charges of 1st degree intentional homicide, possession of a short barreled shot-gun and felony bail jumping. Four other charges were dismissed and read into the record.

A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and Schneider will be sentenced on September 15th. The judge could sentence him to a maximum amount of 72 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
