Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies in Greenwood

-The City of Greenwood had a big day yesterday with three businesses celebrating their grand openings on Thursday.The first ribbon cutting was at the Kow Kickin? Caf?. The restaurant, still known to many of the locals as the Root Beer Stand, has gone through some beautiful renovations in the past several months. The new owner, Janet, said she fell in love with Greenwood when she first came here a few years go.
Janet said, "The people have been so extremely supportive of everything that happens here. Everyone was so supportive in helping me get through this, helping me get through everything. My decision to keep it open was made very quickly."
The next business celebrating its opening was the portrait studio Visions by Jenny Lee in the old Greenwood Pharmacy building. Jenny said they do family pictures, weddings, senior pictures and soon they?ll have picture restoration too.
Jenny said, "The community has been amazing and local, everybody keeping it local. And tons of people seeing me here so they don't have to drive."
The final business to receive a welcome from the Greenwood Chamber that day was Noah?s Adult Day Care located on Crocker Street in Greenwood.
