On To The Sectional Final!

-The Neillsville girls softball team is off to the Sectional Final on Thursday after a 10-6 Sectional Semi-Final win over Eau Claire Regis on Tuesday.The Warriors (19-5) got off to a great start scoring 5 runs on 5 hits in the first inning including 3 doubles.
Regis came back with 4 runs in their half of the 2nd inning to cut the lead to 5-4 after an inning and a half. Neillsville scored a run in the bottom of the 2nd to make it 6-4 after two.
Each team scored 2 in the 3rd to make it 8-6 Neillsville at the end of 3.
Neillsville scored two more in the 6th to make the final 10-6.
The Warriors unofficially had 14 hits in the game led by Sammi Larrabee who was 3 for 4, Katelyn Crothers, Taylor Henchen and Kat Nemitz were all 2 for 4. Henchen and Larrabee also had 2 RBI's apiece.
Allie Pfieffer went the distance allowing 6 runs on only 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 4.
Neillsville will now take on 2nd ranked Grantsburg, who beat Chequamegon 3-0 on Tuesday, in the Sectional Final on Thursday at Durand- Arkansaw Elementary School at 5 pm. You can hear the action live on 1370 AM WCCN.
