Two People Accused of Buying Supplies for Convicted Meth Dealer Appear in Taylor County Court on Tuesday

Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 -- 8:19 AM

-Two people accused of buying supplies for a convicted meth dealer appeared in Taylor County Court on Tuesday.

32-year-old Justin Reese of Abbotsford and 38-year-old Penny Krug of Medford, along with a third person, 30-year-old Heather Prust of Medford, have had charges of providing medication to a dealer filed against them.

The dealer, 28-year-old Dallas Smart, is serving a nine year prison sentence. He was found guilty of numerous charges that all had to deal with the selling and production of meth.

These three people are not the only ones, however. Investigators are looking into the case and have discovered that at least 42 people bought the ingredients for meth production for Smart. Some of them are already serving jail time.

A $2,000 signature bond was set against Reese and Krug. They also requested a preliminary hearing. The third individual, Heather Prust, appeared in court back in May. She also had a $2,000 signature bond set against her. However, she did not have an attorney at the time, but she did request one. She will appear in court later this month.
