Security Health Plan's Assistant Director of Health Services Appointed to Wisconsin Public Health Council

-Gov. Scott Walker has appointed Security Health Plan?s Assistant Director of Health Services, Jay Shrader, to the Wisconsin Public Health Council.?I?m honored to receive this appointment,? Shrader said. ?I believe strongly in the vision and mission of the council, assuring the public?s health and safety through evidence-based and cost-effective practices and policies.?
The Public Health Council advises the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the governor, the Wisconsin Legislature and the public on progress in implementing the state?s 10-year public health plan and coordination of responses to public health emergencies.
Shrader joined Security Health Plan in 2011 as community benefit and prevention program manager, overseeing member, employer group, and community wellness and health promotion programs and services. Shrader is a long-standing member of the Wisconsin Public Health Association, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Children?s Health Alliance of Wisconsin.
