Mosinee Teen Sentenced for Crime Spree in Several Local Counties

-A Mosinee teen was sentenced for his part in a crime spree in several local counties.Nicholas Nesbitt, along with two other teens, Sawyer Wirkus and Garrett Niggeman, allegedly stole two vehicles, attempted to steal two more, stole a gun and burglarized both a cabin and a shed between Wood, Taylor and Marathon Counties.
Most of the charges were dismissed and read into the record. Nesbitt did plead no contest to several charges of burglary of a building or dwelling and theft of moveable property.
Nesbitt was sentenced to 75 days in jail, but the sentence was stayed as long as he completes 3 years of probation without any more problems. He must not have any contact with the others involved in the incident, he is not allowed to have a firearm unless it?s for hunting purposes, he must write letters of apology, he owes over $18,000 in restitution and he must undergo all necessary counseling.
A $25,000 signature bond was also set and will apply during his probation.
