Marshfield Woman Sentenced for Biting Her Children

-A Marshfield woman has been sentenced for biting her two children.An investigation began into 29-year-old Helen Mikes back in December after the woman?s 6-year-old had bruising on his butt from an alleged spanking. The child also said that along with the spanking his mother had bit him.
Mikes? 8-year-old child had said his mother had bit him on his bicep twice after a large bruise was discovered there.
Mikes was initially charged with two counts of child abuse, but, due to a plea deal reached, she was sentenced for 5 misdemeanors, 3 counts of battery and 2 counts of disorderly conduct.
She was sentenced to 3 years? probation and a stayed jail time of 180 days, meaning if she completes her probation without any incidences, she will not go to jail. She also owes the courts over $800.
Mikes pleaded no contest to the charges a couple weeks ago.
