A Thorp man appeared in Clark County Court on Wednesday for 14 counts of child sexual assault and abuse charges.
Kyle Zacharias was charged with sexually assaulting two young boys back in November of 2020. However, it was discovered that Zacharias had sexually assaulted 8 other boys between the ages of 8 and 10 years old. The assaults allegedly began back in 2016 and continued into late last year.
The original case against Zacharias was dismissed and a new case was filed to include the new charges. The charges against Zacharias include two counts of 1st degree sexual assault of a child, intimidate a victim and threaten force, child abuse, 3rd degree sexual assault, 4th degree sexual assault, 5 counts of repeated sexual assault of a child, two counts of child enticement, and attempted 1st degree sexual assault of a child.
During his arraignment on Wednesday, Zacharias entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. No future court date has been set at this time. Conditions of his bond include he can have no contact with anyone under 18, no contact with the victims, he must be supervised by someone 25-years-old and older, and have no access to electronic devices.
