Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports at their Tuesday Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard several reports from various committee meetings that were held since the last common council meeting.They heard a report from the Historic Preservation Commission. The commission continues to work on their Historic Walking Tour Brochures. They acquired the addresses of the historic locations in Neillsville as well as pictures.
They also set assignments for members of the commission to proceed with the brochure including updating the history section, starting the layout of the booklet and plan for new pictures.
They also heard the report from the Beautification Committee. The committee agreed to the purchase of 90 geraniums from Gathje?s for the Town Square Park flower bed and they will plant those on May 21st. They also agreed to purchase four boston ferns for the gazebo and they assigned a weeding schedule.
Finally, it was stated that Mayor Steve Mabie will be coordinating the sending of the hanging basket fundraiser letters.
