-A bench warrant has been issued for a Black River Falls woman after she failed to show up for a preliminary hearing on Friday regarding the death of a Neillsville man.Back in October of 2012, 26-year-old Jesse Rauk of Neillsville was killed when he collided with a motor vehicle driven by 26-year-old Randi Rupnow on Highway 12/27 in Jackson County.
Interviewed witnesses initially told authorities that Rauk was traveling well above the speed limit and he collided with Rupnow when she turned into a private driveway. Rupnow said she never saw the motorcycle. After an investigation, authorities determined that the road was flat, there was an excellent sight line and the crash was caused be Rupnow?s decision to turn into the path of the motorcycle.
Rupnow failed to appear in court on Friday and her $10,000 signature bond has been forfeit. She has a homicide by negligent driving charge filed against her.
