Highground Holds First Legacy Stone Ceremony

On Saturday, April 19, 2014, the first 2014 stone placement ceremony took place at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park near Neillsville, Wisconsin.It was an intimate group that enjoyed each other?s stories and honors given to the stone recipients. After the long winter, it was a gorgeous day to be at The Highground on the plaza and the perfect way to kick-off the 2014 season of ceremonies. With many full ceremonies already, The Highground looks forward to a great year of welcoming our veterans home to The Highground, thanking them for their service and thanking all who come and support our men and women.
Friends and family from across the state?Juneau, Waukesha, Neillsville, and Camp Douglas were all represented. We welcome everyone to The Highground and work hard to make their visit enjoyable and healing.
Visitors had the opportunity to visit The Learning Center where the Tribute to the Fallen Exhibit is on display until the end of April.
Stone Placement Ceremonies are scheduled each month now through October. The public is invited whether placing a stone or not, come honor the veterans and families with us.
