Marshfield United Way Sets Support Goals

Marshfield Area United Way will invest $625,840 in community programming over the next twelve months through allocations to programs and initiatives United Way will support throughout the year.Allocations to programs were recently approved by United Way?s Board of Directors upon recommendations made by the Allocations Committee. The committee is comprised of approximately thirty community volunteers formed into three review panels. The panels reviewed program applications and interviewed agencies requesting funding to measure effectiveness and efficiency of the program and to ensure the program aligns within United Way?s focus in the areas of education, income, and health.
Everyone deserves opportunities to achieve a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, good health and a safe home. As a result, United Way has mapped out goals in each of the focus areas as part of a strategy to make the biggest impact on the greatest amount of people in creating long-lasting changes in community conditions.
