Clark County Take Back Initiative Happening on Saturday

-The Clark County Sheriff?s Department will be taking back any unused or unwanted prescription medication on Saturday.The sheriff?s department will be at Gordy?s County Market here in Neillsville and Scott and Lori?s Family Foods in Owen from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, April 26th.
This is a part of the nationwide ?Take Back Initiative? in which people are given the opportunity to help prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of unused and unwanted prescription drugs. This service is completely anonymous with no questions asked.
Last October, Americans turned in 324 tons of prescription drugs at over 4,100 sites. These events help address a vital public safety and health issue. Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse.
