A Bid to Construct Canopies Above Neillsville School Entrances Approved at Monday School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved a bid for the construction of two canopies, a donation and more at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a bid from Ratsch Engineering for the engineering costs to construct two canopies at two building entrances. They also approved a new wrestling mat donation from the Wrestling Booster Club. A new Summer Food Service Program was approved as well.
In employment matters, the board approved the transfer of Jessica Scheider from her Title 1 position to the K5 teaching position. They also approved the retirement of several district employees. Midge Gumz will retire from her teaching assistant position, Becky McKevitt will retire from her special education teaching position and Nancy Kopp will retire from her English teaching position.
Finally, the board approved the teacher contract renewals for the 2014-2015 school year.
