Neillsville School Board Deals With Expulsion Matters Before Regular Board Meeting
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 -- 10:42 AM
-Before the regular Neillsville school board meeting on Monday evening, the board had two closed session meetings to deal with expulsion matters.During these meetings, the board did approve to expel two students for the Neillsville School District for the remainder of this school year. They will have the opportunity to re-enroll this fall, but only after they test negative for drugs and alcohol. All the testing will come at the family?s expense.
The expulsion came about when the students did not follow school rules, specifically regarding possession and use of drugs and alcohol.
The students can seek other forms of education while they?re expelled, they must test negative for drugs and alcohol before they participate in any driver?s ed training and they are not allowed on school grounds during the time of the expulsion, unless they have permission from the district administrator.
