Clark County Board of Supervisors Approve Several Resolutions
Thursday, April 17th, 2014 -- 12:43 PM
-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved several resolutions at their meeting on Tuesday. The first was a resolution giving the Forestry and Parks Department authorization to submit an application for a grant for $94,375 for snowmobile trail maintenance. Another was designating an administrative coordinator for the board. They've been doing this since 1987 and it's always given to the County Board Chair.
The board also heard the Register of Deeds Annual Report for 2013. The department saw an increase in county revenue of $3,275 from $293,966 in 2012 to $297,241 in 2013. This came as a slight surprise considering fewer documents were recorded; they were down by 471. The department also saw an increase in state revenue of $7,238 from $256,377 in 2012 to $263,615 in 2013.
Finally, they saw a decrease of $53,116 in office expenditures from $264,464 to $211,348. That decrease was mainly contributed to the only major project being the conversion of the office tract index books to digital format. The county also saw an increase in the number of new birth and death records and a slight decrease in marriage records.
