Coronavirus Numbers for March 17th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 3,161 positive incases, no increase over yesterday.  Of the total number of cases, 21 are currently active.  Clark County has had 58 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 570,412 positive cases (an increase of 480 over the previous day) and 6,539 deaths, an increase of 3 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 26,889, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

More than 721,000 Wisconsin residents have finished their vaccine series for COVID-19.  According to preliminary state Department of Health Services’ data, there have been 721,389 Wisconsinites fully vaccinated, or have received both doses of the COVID-19 shot, to date.  DHS notes that 2,043,125 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered in all.

In total, Chippewa has seen 7,120 positive and 93 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 11,101 positive and 106 deaths.

Jackson has seen 2,585 positive and 27 deaths.

Marathon has seen 13,769 positive and 183 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,786 positive and 21 deaths.

Wood has seen 6,711 positive and 76 deaths.
