Osseo Man Dies After Crash in Eau Claire County

An Osseo man has died after a crash and vehicle fire in Eau Claire County.

According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department, they received a report of a crash just before 9:30am on Monday on County Road NN near Sieg Road in the Town of Otter Creek.  The driver of the vehicle, a 67-year-old Osseo man was found dead when emergency officials arrived.

An initial investigation has determined the driver had some type of medical emergency, which caused the crash.  The exhaust on the vehicle ignited the grass and weeds in the ditch, which caused the vehicle to catch fire.
