-The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has released the results of the WKCE tests taken by Wisconsin students. The students at the Greenwood School District have performed very well once again. Jennifer Vogler, Greenwood?s Superintendent, told me what grades take the test and when.
Miss Vogler said, "The WKCE is given every Fall. Usually right around the end of October to just about up to Thanksgiving time and it's the students in 3rd-8th grade and 10th grade. The students in 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th grade are only assessed in the areas of reading and math. And 4th, 8th and 10th are in five categories: reading, math, language, science and social studies."
Greenwood had amazing scores on the WKCE test.
"We did phenomenal," said Miss Vogler. "I'm very proud of all the student's success and all the things are community is contributing to our school district to help our teachers educate our children to get the best results possible. We've always done well. It's a history here. You can look that up on the DPI website, but this year we are very proud of our students again. Our students did extremely well in the areas of reading. Our 4th, 6th and 7th grade students scored above the state levels. Our 5th grade were right on target and met the state requirements. In the areas of math, we were above the state in every grade level and the 5th grade students were right where the state expects us to be. So, phenomenal! We're very proud of our kids, our faculty who work with our students each and every day and for our parents for the support that they give us to help our students."
As Miss Vogler said she is very proud of the hard work of Greenwood students, staff and community members.
